Bandwagon

Like everyone else, when LOTS of new things in life start to drastically change, you have to start a blog!
But honestly, what better way to tell people about all the amazing things that God is doing in our lives? So just to catch you up...

1. Andrew and I just bought a new house here in Ames! We closed about 2 weeks ago and will be gradually fixing up the house up and moving in over the next month. We will officially be moved in by the 2nd week in May! The house is so much bigger than our tiny 2 bedroom apartment! Our house has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a full basement including washer and dryer, a decent kitchen which includes a dishwasher and GAS STOVE, 1 car garage, and a huge backyard! The great thing is that the backyard is partially fenced and once we finish it off we will be able to let our dog run free! There are already daffodils in our front yard that look beautiful and it looks like we possibly have are couple rose bushes in the backyard. I will post pictures as we get to working on the house!

2. I am PREGNANT! I will be 10 weeks on Friday and it looks like we will have a Halloween baby-as I am due on October 31st. Pregnancy has been really good so far! I haven't had any morning sickness and despite being hungry all the time and being completely exhausted, I feel very normal! Sometimes I even question whether I am actually pregnant! I had a prenatal consultation today and will be heading back to the doctor when I am about 13 weeks. We were hoping to hear the heartbeat today but it looks like that will have to wait until the next appointment. Either way, Andrew and I are both thrilled and can't wait to meet our little one!

3. Jobs have changed a lot since I graduated last May. I was working at LSI Beloit Residential Treatment center full time but after 3 months I decided it was too big of a challenge for me and decided to change jobs completely. I now have 3 part time jobs (it's absolutely crazy!) I am a part time Teacher's Aid at a preschool and a part time Youth Director at my home church in Norwalk. I am also a Pampered Chef consultant. With these jobs also comes A LOT of commuting! The preschool is in Polk City (35 minute drive) and the church is in Norwalk (55 minute drive). Andrew is working at Riverside full time and is really enjoying it! He is also in the process of starting a coffee roasting business! This is one AMAZING step forward to one day opening his own coffee shop! He is very excited!
